Owen Grady, Class...I’m excited to continue playing basketball at the college level, where I can compete, develop, and be part of a team that values work ethic and leadership. My coach has described me as a crafty lefty, elite playing downhill, making reads in transition, playing off two feet, showing up consistently and constantly.
I am seeking a program that values what each individual brings as a player and a person. I take pride in being the hardest worker, someone who always gives 100%, every practice and every game. I’m a teammate everyone can count on and extremely coachable—ready to listen, adjust, and do what is needed to help the team succeed.
This past season, I was the only sophomore on varsity, moved into the starting five at the end of the regular season and for the playoffs, and earned “The Floor General – MVP” for my club team. In my freshman year, I was awarded JV MVP on my high school team. I’m known for having natural basketball instincts and intangibles, playing tough and active, responsive defense, smart decision-making under pressure, and strong communication on the court. I prepare, plan, and adapt when needed.
Off the court, I’m curious and creative. I love sports photography, have an entrepreneurial mindset, think through new ideas, and find ways to solve problems. In college, I’m looking to compete at a high level, be surrounded by teammates who push each other, and grow as a player, student, and leader.
