Eric Baldassarre '24 Recruiting Profile

Being recruited to play on the IMG Junior National Team as a rising sophomore has been the highlight of my young career so far. I’ve been playing basketball since I was 3 years old. While I played other sports growing up such as soccer and baseball, I fell in love with basketball because it is a fast-paced team sport that requires players to be very skilled and play both offense and defense while giving 100% effort every second on the floor. Basketball has taught me the value of hard work, teamwork, commitment, sacrifice, and leadership.

I continue to work year-round on my basketball skills with individual skill trainers, lifting in the weight room, as well as playing AAU basketball. My hard work has allowed me to develop into a “lights out” shooter and 3-level scorer with strong ball handling skills, a strong physical defender, as well as being mentally tough with “ice in my veins” and high basketball IQ.

As a student-athlete, my goals are to continue to excel on the court and in the classroom with a high GPA and honor roll membership, so I can establish a foundation to be successful in life. I'm looking for a college program that will be a good fit for me both athletically and academically. I believe I not only have the talent, skill, and experience to compete for a college team, but the character, work-ethic, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.
