Donovan Burton '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Donovan Burton and I am a 17 year old Senior, attending Brandon Academy in Brandon, Florida. I am in the graduating Class of 2025. I'm a 6'2 versatile player that can handle multiple positions and shoot the ball. I started playing recreational basketball when I was 12 and started AAU when I was 14. I work hard each and everyday to achieve my goals and strive to be the best version of myself. Not only do I work hard in basketball, but I also apply myself academically. I try my best to soak up as much information that I learn in class, and get my work done. If I ever struggle with a certain subject or assignment, I am always asking my teachers, mentors, friends and family for help. If there's one thing I've learned from school, is that in order to be an athlete, you have to be a student-athlete and not athlete-student. My main goals that I have set right now are to get a basketball scholarship and learn about possible business careers. Some business careers I am interested in are Real Estae Agent and Real Estate Broker. I hope that if I can reach my goal of a basketball scholarship, that I can also use it help set up my career in business. I am very blessed and thankful that I'm able to play basketball and do all things through Christ - with Him all things are possible. I am open to a college that feels like home and optimistic for what the future holds.
