Personal Statement

My name is David Moya. Ever since I was a little kid I have always loved basketball. Basketball has been my passion my whole life. My goal for a long time has been to play basketball at the highest level I possibly can. I work hard every day to try to make that happen. The next level for me is the collegiate level. I want to use basketball as my ticket for a great education.

As a player, I am a true point guard that likes to make plays for my teammates but at the same time I am an offensive threat to my defenders because I can score the ball. As a student, I maintain very good grades by working hard. I take my grades as seriously as I do basketball. As both a student and an athlete, I am a great leader and I always strive to be the best I can be.

This camp has been the proving ground for most of the top high school players throughout the State of Florida for the past 13 years. Our concept is simple. Bring all of the top players from around the Southeast United States together under one roof. Forget about shoe affiliations, rankings, and reputations put them all in one gym and let their games decide where they stack up against the rest. The competition level at this camp will be fierce. Even though this is an individual camp, team and unselfish play will be emphasized. We also understand the importance of building the total student athlete; players will be taught life lessons, media training, how to improve leadership skills and provided academic information. CAMP FEATURES TOP Prospects from the Class of 2014-2017 in the country Evaluations by local, regional and national media outlets Event recaps on scouting websites Camp Gear Each player guaranteed 3 camp games The BEST in Competition, Exposure & Organization NCAA Division II, III, NAIA and JUCO college coaches have been invited. • Five Star Basketball Camp Super Session, 2012
  • 8/03/12 to 8/04/13
  • David Moya, This is an invitation to a Five-Star Basketball Camp Super Session. These camps are “Invite-Only” and will feature the best players, top teachers and a modern curriculum that will address the Physical, Technical and Psychological aspects of basketball. All of these camps will be held at state of the art private indoor facilities. Now, if you’re a legitimate prospect you must have a plan that should include a trip to the Five-Star Basketball Camp. With so many camp and summer basketball options here are some facts to help you choose “substance” over “hype.” The most passionate and innovative coaching minds in the game have historically worked at Five-Star! Our 6 sets of advanced station teaching, “Station 13” (Individual Instruction), Fast Break Competition, Playoffs, Three League Games, Three-on-Three Tournament and our No-Dribble or Situation Tournament are feasts of learning for the dedicated prospect. The name of our game is improvement and we play it better than any institution in the world. Our team organization (via tryouts and draft) plus top coaching and talent make Five-Star the place to be if you want to play against talented players, improve mental toughness, learn from basketball game situations. From Moses to Michael to Mourning to Carmelo to Lebron to Durant and CP3: we’ve help develop over 400 players for the NBA and tens of thousands more for colleges at all levels. Your potential will be greatly enhanced by two highly competitive games per day on indoor courts with a bonafide coach, two officials and a stop-clock. Many of our camp days are spent in the so-called “dead-period” (no Div. I coaches can evaluate), yet fine players from across the country come in droves to rapidly fill these sessions. The list of college and NBA stars who gained vast notoriety on our dead-period stages reads like a who’s who of modern basketball: Grant Hill, Rasheed Wallace, Vince Carter, Elton Brand, Ron Artest, Zach Randolph, Raymond Felton, Jameer Nelson, Carmelo Anthony, Ben Gordon, Chris Paul, Josh Selby, Kevin Durant, Tyreke Evans, Stephen Curry, John Wall, Brandon Knight, Kyrie Irving, Doron Lamb, Nolan Smith, Taj Gibson, Malcolm Delaney, Dorrell Wright, Kenneth Faried, Austin Freeman, Isaiah Thomas, Tobias Harris, Corey Fisher, Chris Wright and Kemba Walker. Many of these players were multi-session campers!
