Personal Statement

I aspire to go into the NBA, but right now my main goal is to make it into a Division I Basketball college. My first choice would be Duke Univeristy, due to their great basketball program and that they provide an Ivy League school education. I also have family in North Carolina, so Duke is the most beneficial college for me to go to. The ideal situation for me is to finish college with a successful college career in basketball and a degree in Journalism.

Are you in honor classes?

Yes. I am in the International Baccalaureate program, a diploma program in which I earn college credits by taking college-level classes in high school. As of right now, I am in the pre-IB stage, and as a freshman I am enrolled in classes isuch as Algebra II and Biology I.

Are you in AP/IB classes?

Yes. Although I am enrolled in the IB program, I am still taking AP courses such as U.S. Governement and Politics. Next semester, I will be taking Macroeconomics. Both of these classes are senior-level high school classes.
