Kurt Flores '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello future coaches, I am Kurt Axel Flores. I was born in the Philippines and came to the U.S. when I was in 3rd grade. We are a military family and have moved around quite a bit in the U.S. and in Germany.  I have lived in Germany for 4 1/2 years and have played for U.S. high school teams (DoDEA Stuttgart Panthers), with local German Teams (Boblingen Panthers), and also with a U.S.A. Travel team (Stuttgart Eagles - Like AAU).  I have also received personal training from collegiate players and from my assistance coach who was a pro-European player.  During our family vacations back to my dad's hometown in Jacksonville, FL, I would also train with local Jacksonville Basketball Association (AAU) coaches.  

Being a military family, I have grown and learned from these experiences.  I know how to handle diversity, I've learned how to welcome change and how to make adjustments. I'm respectful and I am always learning. These life lessons have also transitioned onto my on and off court behaviors. I am very coachable and always listen to and apply what my coaches and trainers are teaching me. I say "Yes coach, No Coach", I give feedback and I get back to work. I do my homework and watch tape. I prep myself for training and games alongside team training. I hold myself to very high standards and am constantly looking for methods on how to better my contributions to the team and for ways to make the team a more cohesive and effective unit while also improve my skillset and game mentality.

I am seeking to receive a scholarship so I can play the sport I love, while receiving a betterment for my education. I'm ready at a moment's notice to do the work, willing to put in the work and ready to improve in any way possible. I'm excited to be coached to become a better person and basketball player.
