K'Nard Callendar '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is K’Nard Callendar and I am currently a Junior and basketball player on the Royal Palm Beach High School Wildcats.  I was born and raised in St. Thomas, USVI where I also played baseball and volleyball.

My goals for my college years are to be strong academically in a Division I program and perform well enough athletically to be considered for the next level. As far as basketball is concerned, I am a very coachable prospect with a high basketball IQ, which would make me an excellent addition to most teams. I have the ability to shoot from the perimeter, defend, and create plays from any position on the court. I am also incredibly diligent, a selfless team player, and open to learning.

What sets me apart from other recruits though, is that I am a “Big” (currently 6’8”, 195 lbs., 16 yrs. old), with a “Small” skillset and mentality.  My upbringing has given me a strong foundation in performing from the guard position as I’ve played PG most of my playing career thus far.  Recent growth spurts have transformed my body into that of a big man and, while I am comfortable in the role of a big man, my inclination, training and mindset is that of a guard or wing. 

I am confident that I can be a successful addition to a D-I program as both academics and athletics are very important to me as a well-rounded young man.
