Personal Statement

I am an upcoming motivational speaker, and my ability to uplift people, players, and coaches makes me unlike other candidates. Former coaches have always considered me the heart and soul of the team because of my fierce competitiveness and tenacious energy. Freshman year I have earned most dedicated player, my sophomore year I earned the hustle award, and junior year I earned the Scholar-Athlete award. Which is my second time earning that award because I did it once in the eighth grade. I’ve always been on top of my work. Former coaches admire the fact that I stay on point with schoolwork, because student always comes before athlete. I attended Rockdale county high school, but I am in the Magnet program. It is a STEM (science technology engineering and mechanics) school. The magnet program is a separate school that is apart of Rockdale. I had to apply to get into the magnet program. It is a very selective school and a tough school to stay in. The magnet program prepares you for college academically. I look to major in sports or business management as it will help me become a sports attorney. These qualities are what separates me from the masses. Now on the court my junior year I have greatly improved my abilities. The year before I was a terrible shooter. During the off-season I worked hard and developed a great shot. My junior year I shot 43% from three. I looked to work even harder during the summer, and add a new skill to my game. Now that Senior year has arrived I decided to transfer from Rockdale to a private school called Covington Academy. Back at Rockdale I was putting up 2-4 points a game. Here at my new school I’ve jumped up to 25 points per game as well as an all star and captain of my team. This shows the dedication and commitment I have for this game. When given the opportunity to play at the collegiate level I will bring the same qualities there.
