Hello, my name is Mohamed Diallo. I come from a family born in an West African country (Mali). They moved to Atlanta to get better jobs and ultimately a better life. I never was good at basketball until the age 11 when I started taking it seriously. My dad told me if I am to start something, I must finish it. My mom agreed and from then on, hours and hours were put in the gym to make me better. I kept this up for about 3 years and I feel so much better than I used to be. I started joining teams and I played for my middle school. I am now 14 and 5'10 and I understand the complexity of college basketball recruitment. My parents never got that shot at college and for me to go to one, especially on a scholarship would make them very proud. I also know that I have to put in even more work because they're are plenty of great athletes coming for the same spot I want. I cannot allow myself to be outworked. That being said, I will finish what I started.
