Michael Olmert '16 Recruiting Profile

I am very concerned about finding a school that is good academic fit, first and foremost.  I am used to hard work and balancing academics and sports.  I am a team captain and 3-yr starter on my high school's basketball team (AAAAAA), and I currently maintain a 3.875 GPA in the most rigorous of high school curricula, the International Baccalaureate Program. In the midst of the challenge of my program and serving on my basketball team, it has been difficult to find time for other extra-curricular activities, but I am actively involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as well as the youth program at my church.  My character is demonstrated in my interactions with others and in my commitment to serve the community around me, whether it is packing food for the Atlanta Food Bank or providing food, clothing, toiletries, etc. for homeless people in downtown Atlanta on Christmas morning.  On the court, I have made the all-tournament team in all of our tournaments.  I have led the county in assists, and I always make my team better and most effective when I am on the court. I pride my self in bringing out the best in others, as well as myself.  In short, I am the textbook definition of a team player.  I believe myself to be well-rounded, of utmost integrity, and diligent in my work in the classroom and on the basketball court.
