Student athlete, how I describe myself is a student-athlete. I am extremely passionate about my future studies as I aspire to be a nurse in the future. This aspiration has deep roots and connections to my family and ancestry as my mother and brother both work in the healthcare industry. I make a good candidate for a college basketball team thanks to my work ethic; I pride in being able to better myself through all aspects of my game. As a player who only started seriously playing basketball in high school, I believe my mental fortitude, attitude, and basketball skills have improved exponentially. Coming from a Native Hawaiian high school I differ culturally, academically, and emotionally. Hawaiian cultural values (responsibility, taking care, respect, etc) are integrated into my everyday actions and are reflected in my contributions to society. Thank you for your time.
