Damian Zivak '21 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. My family and I realized I loved the game from the first time I picked up a basketball. I have always dreamed of playing not only at the highest collegiate level possible, but I've also dreamed of playing beyond that, at the professional level. I'm highly committed to the game. I want to be a collegiate athlete simply because I love the game of basketball, I love competing, and I love being a leader on and off the court. I have a high basketball IQ, and I'm very versatile since I can play positions 1-3. I can handle the ball with both hands and shooting the ball is a strength of mine. I love facilitating the ball for my teammates and I also love playing defense. Also, I strive to be the hardest worker on and off the court. Overall, I would say I have a very complete game. But of course I only strive to get better every day. 

I am a very good student; I maintain around a 3.5 GPA and I am in various honors classes. I am also very active in my Serbian church community. My parents are both originally from Serbia and have taught me how to speak Serbian. I have learned how to balance and manage my time regarding school, basketball and spending time with family and friends. 

I want attend a college that is simply the right fit for me. I am open to any school that is interested in me and will help me become a better student and a better athlete; I am keeping my options open to ultimately find the best fit for me. I am willing to put in the work to be the best version of myself possible on and off the court.
