I attend one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the nation, University of Chicago Laboratory High Schools (Hyde Park, Illinois). I believe i am one the hardest workers in the nation with a great talent. Over the summer I train with some of the best basketball talents in Illinois including: Craig Hodges, Jereme Richmond, Kendrick Nunn, Sam Thompson, Mike Turner, Tommy Hamilton Jr, and many more! My dream is to play Division One College Basketball and I will do anything to accomplish this goal.
This season I transferred to a new school, and averaged 14.5 points, 5.3 assists, 4.1 Rebounds, and 3.5 steals per game still adjusting to a new team as the Starting Point Guard. I love to get other players involved, always finding the open man or the hot shooter, but when I know I have a chance to dominate a game I will do so. I focus my game on DEFENSE and take great pride in having to guard the opponents greatest player. I know that everyone who makes it to the college level can score but I believe my defensive abilities will get me to the next level. I am very scrappy player who gets most of all the loose balls and will fight for my team and bring lots of energy. My very competitive spirit forces me to watch film on any games, stretching from my highschool games from freshman year to the National Basketball League games from the 90's, almost every night.
As you can see from this video I take "No Days Off" and work on my game every single day because I know this is what I have to do if I want to play college ball. Traveling hours to school everyday to work extremely hard in the classroom and work just as hard on the hardwood has put me in a different state of mind. I have never been so focused in my life on wanting to accomplish something so bad. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqtXbdJlNrU
