“You can’t be afraid to fail. It’s the only way you succeed – you’re not gonna succeed all the time, and I know that.” - LeBron James
This quote by LeBron James speak volumes to me as a student athlete. As someone who was told that they are special, but doesn’t really understand when they hear it. I’m torn between: Am I really all that great or, is there more to be done in my strive for greatness? I always wanted to do something with basketball, but I never even felt like I would ever be good enough for the Varsity level, let alone college. I finish everything I start because I work as hard as my body can give and I am very easy to teach. I hope to become a great leader and team mate from this. I was apart of the 2014-15 that won the 2A State Championship and am now a varsity captain. I devoted myself to this game and try to put nothing above it in order to become the player that I am today. Now, I'm no where near one of the best and I still have a lot of work to do, especially as a guard. That is why I'm here trying to be recruited to further develop my skills and keep basketball apart of my lifestyle for as long as possible.
