As a former D1 coach I pride myself in having the ability to not just notice talent, but to be able to see intangibles that go along with it.  Aidan Murphy caught my eye early because of his college ready body, size and strength.  After working with him and coaching him during the AAU season I promise any coach they will be getting a player that will directly impact their locker room and team chemistry with his work ethic, high IQ and ability to sacrifice for team success.  If AAU would of been evaluated by college coaches Aidan would of been a hot commodity and had his choice of which D1 scholarship he wanted to take.

Aidan of Glenbard West is a 6'6 wing who has the ability to stretch the floor from distance and can attack the basket under control and finds ways to get to the free throw line consistently.  He is an intelligent defender that can guard both guards and bigs.

Murphy has a compact, high-arching jump shot that is going to be a substantial asset at the college level at 6-foot-6. He catches the ball ready to get into his shot, wasting little movement. Murphy has the broad shoulders and frame that should allow him to pack on muscle as he matures.
