Malcolm Reed '14 Recruiting Profile

I am a competitor with a hard work ethic. I will bring toughness, IQ and leadership to any team. Since entering high school I have been looked up to for my character by our student body, teachers, coaches and fellow teammates. I am a year out of high school at the same time I am pushing myself everyday to achieve my collegiate goals of playing basketball next year as a sophomore. Not only physically and mentally as well as academically. I know I can only thrive in basketball and as a person as long as my academics are in order. I want to make my family proud and that plays a key role in accomplishing what I have set out. We are all students before athletes. I will contribute to a team by bringing a winning mentality in practice, games and in the class room. Throughout high school I was one of the strongest students. Lifting heavier weights than most of our bigger kids who played football and basketball. I do that so I am not pushed around in the paint or backed down easily. Playing college basketball has been a goal of mine and I am ready to do anything to accomplish that goal. I want to be given the chance to play at the most competitive level possible. I believe I can grow and excel on that level. Hard work is required to make that happen and I am confident in myself to put the work in on every aspect.
