Personal Statement
My freshman year, I was the leader on my freshman team and had the potential to play up on the sophomore team. I went through the summer getting stronger and working even more on my skills, and by the end of the summer, the coach wanted me to play up on varsity as a sophomore. My junior year I was a key player on our team, averaging the 4th highest ppg on the team at 6.4 ppg. I am going into AAU this spring being a key shooter for my team. I play with breakaway basketball, which is apart of the NY2LA association and is going to be apart of the UA Rise circuit. As a Senior i am the co-captain of the team and together we are winning hard fought games with superior defense and strong ball movement in the offensive zone. We continue to work on balance from both both sides of the ball resulting less turn overs and offensive production from 2 or more players.
My biggest influences are my parents because no matter how I play, whether good or bad, they will love me for who I am. Also, I am very influenced by my Uncle Bill, who taught me almost everything I know about basketball because he was a top player at Oak Lawn High School, and holds many scoring and rebounding records there. When he comes to my games, he is the first one to tell me what I can improve upon in the game. Lastly, I am influenced the most by Coach Greg Ktistou, who I have worked with in his clinics for over 3 years, and has helped provide an outlet for me to talk through situations on and off the court.
