Andrew Ambrosio '21 Recruiting Profile

Just to let you know about myself, my name is Andrew Ambrosio. I am a 2 sport athlete. I‘m a 6'7" 220 pound c/pf and senior at Romeoville High School in Romeoville Illinois. I've loved playing this game for 9 years and have even coached younger players through a 20 game season. I am now entering my final season at Romeoville. I've made tremendous leaps in my game every high school season and offseason. I am extremely competitive and I am the hardest worker in the gym. I like to consider myself the most versatile big man in my conference and region. This past offseason I ironed out the wrinkles in my post game and added to my faceup game as well. Pick and roll situations is where I believe I pose the biggest threat. While most of the time I roll or set slip screens, I have the ability to extend out and hit jumpers with ease. While all that is great, defense wins games, and that is what I take the most pride in. Communication is the number one thing I stress to my guys on the floor, especially on screen defense and in gap-help situations. I can assure you opposing big men won't be having anywhere near a great game when I'm defending them. My perimeter defense on the other hand can still use some work, as there is always room for improvement, but my length makes up for what I don't have in foot speed. I am an extremely hard working leader who expects nothing but maximum effort and high IQ play from my teammates and most importantly myself. I believe i'd be an asset to any team I play for.
