Success on the court and in the classroom is what I strive towards every single day. I enjoy playing all sports, but basketball is my passion. I love the fast pace, the athleticism, and the intellectual focus that is needed to play the game.
I am a 6’4” honor roll student working towards both an honors and technical diploma. I excel in the positions of shooting guard and small forward but also enjoy playing point. I have the ability to consistently score from the three point line and drive to finish strong at the hoop. I am confident in my ball handling and defensive skills and pride myself on contributing to the team no matter which end of the court I am on. I maintain a high basketball IQ and I am always eager to learn as much as I can from coaches in order to improve. I’ve been playing in AAU programs since I was 10 years old. I have been fortunate enough to travel and play regionally with the Indy Heat and Gym Rats programs over the past few summers in several highly competitive tournaments and I am really looking forward to the upcoming Homestead High School season.
I am blessed to have a supportive family and I want to make them proud. My dad played basketball in college and gives great advice. He is my biggest fan and toughest critic. My mom has driven me to countless practices, cheers for me and my team at every game, and consistently encourages me. I also have 2 little brothers that are strong players and share my drive for basketball. I never have a problem finding someone to shoot around or play one on one with in the driveway.
I am very open-minded in my search for a university. I am not limited geographically and enjoy the advantages offered by both large and small school settings. Ideally I would like to find a college where I can contribute at the highest level and excel in both basketball and academics. I really enjoy and want to focus my studies on biology and medical sciences, but I would also be interested in exploring a minor in business. I would welcome the opportunity to learn more about you and your school’s athletic and academic programs. I am confident in my talent to succeed both on the court and in the classroom and I thank you so much for taking the time to look at my profile.
