My goal in college is to study business/entrepreneurship and play basketball. Basketball plays a big role in my family... it's part of who I am. My grandfather coached high school and small college basketball (Huntington College) in Indiana for decades. My two older sisters currently play college basketball... one at Butler University, and the other at the University of St. Francis in Fort Wayne, and my youngest sister was recently part of the 2017 4A Indiana State Championship basketball team at Homestead high school. I understand firsthand, and I am excited about the commitment, dedication and hard work required to be a positive contributor to a successful basketball program.
I love to win! This is currently my 4th year as part of a very successful basketball program at Homestead... my 3rd varsity season. We have consistently been a top 4A program in the state of Indiana. Following our first-ever 4A State Championship in 2015, we have compiled a combined record of 44-10 during sophomore and junior seasons... going 23-4 last year. One thing I've learned through my playing experience at Homestead is to clearly understand my role on a team. Many of my past teammates now play at the next level or beyond. As a result, in order to contribute to our program's success, I have had to buy into my role for that season's team... put our team goals ahead of my own, which has required patience and perspective. My goal now is to find a college program which provides the right academic and athletic fit for me... a place where I can play a role and contribute to the success of a collegiate basketball program. Thank you for taking time to learn more about me.
