My name is Princeton Young, I have been playing basketball since the fourth grade I had always wanted to play prior to 6th grade but was not fortunate enough to make the elementary team. My sixth grade year was the first time I had ever made the school team and I was ecstatic. Basketball has been a huge factor in my life since the age of 12. I eat, sleep, and drink basketball! I love to compete. It is what keeps me going every day. It drives my passion for the game and gives me the confidence and will power I need to keep going. I have been told that I see the game differently from everyone else. Personally, the game slows down for me and I know what move to make three to four plays before. I feel this way partially, as I am an honor student and I feel as though I use my brain a lot in basketball and in different ways than my peers. In terms of my skill set I can do it all, I can dribble and control the ball, play defense, and facilitate the court. I am a 6-foot combo guard who can control the floor on both sides defensively and offensively. My ball-handling is very good and I know how to set up my teammates to get them going before I get going so that the game just flows easy and fast. I am also a very rough player. I am the player who will go up against a 6'7 big and get the rebound over him, plus I fight for the loose ball. I am a leader on and off the court. I am very coachable and aim to be one of the hardest-working players for any team I play with as a contender. In the classroom, I maintain a GPA of 3.8 or a 4.0 scale. I want to go to a college where I will be challenged on and off the court. I would love to play for a division 1 school but I am willing to play anywhere. I love the game of basketball and want to be the best I can be and even influence the younger generation to do the same.
