My name is Jon McLemore and first and foremost I am a Christ Follower. I am passionate about basketball and have been playing since I was 4 years old. I am a PG who can also play SG and I am a leader on my team. I lead the team in assists and am the second highest FT shooter in my class, shooting over 92%. I serve my county as the PHHS representative for Madison County for the Athletic Council and also founded a bible study called Level10Mindset.org with my mom which serves 26 athletes in all sports for the class of 2027. I am an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club in my school.
My friends would say that I am like the "glue" that holds our team together. I don't talk a lot but I believe I am a quiet leader and my teammates respect me. When I am not playing, I am always the loudest cheerleader for my team, trying to lift everyone up to do their best. II have good basketball IQ and court sense, which helps me in the assist category. In my spare time I work at Mojo Sports Complex and provide support for different tournaments such as the EYBL. I play for Hickory Hoops AAU 16U.
Everyone says I am mature and wise beyond my years and that is probably why I have always wanted to be in the medical field since I was very young. I would like to do something in dental or orthodontics.
My dad served in the military in the Marines and Army for 25 years and my mom is a very hard worker and serves as the Chief Revenue Officer for a business in my hometown. I am a good student and I know my teachers like me and respect me. I also was asked to serve in the Athletic Office during my free period because I get along well with the athletic director and coaching staff.
If you need a player on your team that gets along with everyone and is trustworthy, respectful and dependable - I'm your guy. I focus on my character and my relationship with God and the athletic achievements follow. I'm a pretty grounded guy.
