Andre Hill '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andre Hill and I write to you today because of my ultimate love for the sport of Basketball. I have truly loved the sport from a very tender age and continues to do so with every passing day. 

At my high school,  I was the captain of our Basketball team. (The Lions) for two years, from 2019 to 2021. 

In the same period, I was also the Basketball Senior Team Captain as well as the Schools Senior Basketball Captain. 

I had the opportunity to lead the team to the Semi Finals at the District Competitions. I must say, it was the best ever finish in the school's history. That same year, I won the School’s Sportsman of the year Award.  (2020 and 2021)

It is my sincere hope that one day, I can make a career out of this and aim to be an ambassador for this great sports of Basketball in schools all over my great country of Zimbabwe.  

Many schools in my country, do not offer the sport of Basketball at the moment due to many reasons. One  of the major reasons is the lack of school participation in funding. Most schools in the high density suburbs of the country do not have Basketball Courts because of those reasons. Other sports such as soccer take top priority in the schools all over my country. It is my hope that one day I can bring awareness to the beautiful sport of Basketball, especially schools within these impoverished areas in the country as there are so many talent in these areas that goes unnoticed every year. 

My aim is to continue my college education whilst persuading my love for basketball.
