Miro Giasson '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Miro Giasson class of 2024, I am 19 years old, I am a lefty combo guard and currently live in Quebec City, Canada. 

I first started to play basketball when I was 11 years old and I've been in love with the game since then. I am a hardworker in every parts of my life, basketball, weight room, classroom and in my everyday life. 

 As a basketball player, I've worked a lot of hours to perfect my shot to the point a can say now that I am a pretty good shooter now. With the ball in my hands I can make great decisions of the pick roll, something that I've been perfecting since I was 14 years old. What differences me is the fact that I take pride a lot of pride at being a great teamate on and off the court, I am all about team and winning.

I am actually playing at Cegep Trois-Rivières, in the 2nd best division the City of Quebec has to offer. The CEGEP system in the province of Quebec is basically already a college atmosphere because the ages of players varies between 17 and 23 years old. I personally been playing at the CEGEP level since I was 17, playing against players way older than me. 

Family wise I have a mother, father and a brother that I all deeply love. My brother also plays basketball and I really believe that he's one of the best players in the province and in his age group. As far as my personal hobbies, I really like books, drawing and photography. I would like to study in sport psychology or sport intervention in College, I love psychology and basketball, so I kind of decided to mix both for my future career.

Finally if I could say one last thing about myself, I am a pure learner, I love to learn about basketball everyday and about everything in general, getting to understand and know some new stuff is really important for me.

As a basketball player and a person, I want to win, it's that simple. I am ready to but my body, my mind, my sweat and my tears on the line to win, because at the end of the day becoming a winner (on and off the court) is what matters to me.
