Hello Coaches,
I would be a phenomenal asset to your College/University program because of my dedication and work ethic in the gym and in the classroom. I have always been known as the person who is the first in the gym and the last to leave the gym. Basketball has made me who I am, it has taught me many lessons on and off the court; it has taught me how to work hard, play fair, be confident, and be disciplined. However, I also learned that to be great, you have to outwork a lot of people, and with that comes a lot of extra hours. The fear of not being great keeps me motivated. When I first started playing basketball, I knew that I wanted to have it in my life as much as possible. I first started playing basketball when I was 9 years old after I saw my neighbor shooting around in his driveway. After this, I made it my goal to play D1 basketball and no matter how tough the journey is, the destination is worth it. Additionally, when it comes to academics, I have worked just as in the classroom as I have with basketball. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA in my first high school years. I will continue to strive in school, as it is my goal to finish high school with a 4.0 GPA in order to have as many post-secondary schools have interest in me. To conclude, the obstacles I have overcome and lessons I have been taught are all factors that made me who I am today on and off the court.
