Aiden Summerfield '21 Recruiting Profile

Throughout my whole sporting career, from when I started playing Basketball at the age of 5 to now where I am the Captain of the First V team (My school's version of Varsity), I have grown as a person and a player.

I have become more confident, with being the starting Point Guard, I have learned the skills to lead my team on and off the court. This includes running the team, executing our team's plays and strategies and inspiring them to push on and be better. On the other hand, I've contributed to the formal side of our basketball program, where I have given speeches to the school and the broader community about our team and program and helped the team stay together through problems like the COVID Pandemic.

Within the game of Basketball, I am a fast-paced and high-intensity guard. I can push the ball aggressively at high speed on offence while still staying composed and making good decisions. On defence, I am considered one of the best defenders in the state and can push up full-court and apply constant pressure within both full-court and half-court defences. I am a shooting point guard but distribute the ball well and one of the top assists leader in the GPS competition.

Academically, I am completing the International Baccalaureate, and I excel in my classes. I am completing such courses as High-Level Physics and Standard Level Maths at a 6 standard (7 is the highest). While also being heavily involved and fixated in my Basketball, It is also very important to me that I continue to grow academically.

I feel I would be an asset to any college program. I am easy going and work hard on and off the court. I hope to be provided with an opportunity to continue my education and basketball goals by being a student-athlete in college.
