Somtochukwu Oparaeche Ifeanyi '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ifeanyi-Oparaeche Somtochukwu, and I am a 6’4" guard from Imo State, Nigeria. I play small forward for Action Sports Academy in Georgia.

Since I can remember, basketball has been a huge interest of mine. 

My competitive spirit is what fuels my tenacious, motivated mentality. 

Without basketball, I find its hard to fathom my life. My coaches and my friends tell me that my work ethic is my biggest attribute and that they expect my college years to be a time of personal development. 

My aim is to explore a science major that will prepare me for medical school.

I understand that, as a student, my academics are crucial, but in terms of an athlete, I want to take my game to a whole new level, keep improving, and be the best I can be by the grace of God.
