I am Devan Pringle, a student-athlete currently completing my 11th year of education at Good Shepherd Lutheran College. I am a 6’3 versatile small forward who has been playing for 8 years. I have just recently completed my under-18 season, playing as a bottom-aged player, representing Sunshine coast rip city, where I have a successful season winning gold in division 2.
Three main assets that I can bring to your team include my versatility, work ethic, and IQ. I am a small forward that has played both center and point guard over my career, meaning I have been trained and developed a variety of skills which in positions poses. I am a fast and strong athlete with a high shooting percentage. I am able to handle the ball and finish around the ring with both hands and am able to make appropriate reads throughout the game. I have a very strong work ethic and follow a strict training program and diet to maximize my performance. I spend a minimum of 2 hours a day training and undergo 5 days a week in a weight room, working to increase my athleticism and strength and spending 30min a day stretching. I have a high IQ and understanding of the game as I have experienced and played a variety of levels throughout my 8-year career. I am able to read and control the game through my IQ and use it to help set up, my team.
I am an 11th-grade student attending Good Shepherd Lutheran College on a sports scholarship, where I give 110% in all of my academics. I have earned a variety of awards for my academic achievements and have even been selected as primary school captain for my efforts, all of which can be reflected in my 3.2 GPA.
Ever since I first stepped on the court at the age of 8, I have longed to play at the college level. I have forever been a massive fan of basketball and have been a student of the game as I constantly strive to develop my skill set. I have learned a variety of skills throughout my career such as leadership. I have captained many of the teams I have played for, due to my leadership, and always aim to take such qualities everywhere I go. This includes my part-time job, academics, the local community, and to all teams, I play for. My long terms are to play for a college in America and have the opportunity to compete against some of the best athletes in the world, where I can showcase my skills and ability.
Overall, I wish to continue to work as hard as I can to better develop my skills hoping to achieve the best result possible. I wish to play for a college in America where I would be forever grateful for showcase my skills and competitive nature.
