DIMITRIS KAFTANIS '18 Recruiting Profile

I have play basketball since the age of 7. I’m a starter for Arsakeio Psichikou high school varsity team for all the 3 years that I’m playing in it and I also play for a basketball club Ilisiakos in division 1 of Athens. The biggest moment of my high school career was winning the 3^rd place in a basketball tournament among all private schools in Athens, Greece, as a freshman. I’m fortunate enough to be a part of an amazing program, we have twice won 3^rd place in Athens over my three years.  

I’m looking for an institution where I can find the right balance between the classroom and court. As an international student, I would like to pursue a possible scholarship in at a solid academic school with a great reputation in the field of engineering. My ideal athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team because I believe I not only have the talent, but also the will to work hard in order to compete for a Men’s basketball program. I believe my best fit would be at the DII or NAIA level, although I will absolutely consider high academic DIII opportunities.
