Ever since the first grade I've loved sports, soccer and basketball especially. Going into high school I dreamed of playing basketball at the college level. I am able to carry my weight on the court; I am an above average ball-handler, a consistent shot from beyond the arc, and I possess a high basketball IQ. I am in the game not for individual glory but for the success of whatever team I find myself on. I want to do what's best for my team, whether that is sitting on the bench and cheering my teammates on or making buckets on the court. Encouraging my teammates is what I do best because bad attitudes don't win games. I am a very coachable player and I implement my coach's advice into my game. I may not be the fastest or strongest player on the court but I sure do make for entertaining basketball.
As a student-athlete, I strive to balance my school work and my ball work. I am currently volunteer-member and captain of the Sound Team. In addition to that I coach Middle School Basketball Intramural Sports. Relating to classroom activities, I have held and I am currently holding a position in the class office; I also have been a part of the Student Council (StuCo) as a Stuco Class Rep.
I am open to a wide range of options but in the end I wish to find a college that is affordable - where I can possibly get a sports and academic scholarship - and where challenges are presented to me on the court and in the classroom. My goal is inspire the next generation of players and be the greatest student-athlete I can be.
