Basketball for me has always been something more. Others view sport as a hobby, pass-time, or escape from their day to day world. But sport is so much more; it is not an escape from our world but rather, a bridge to a new one. Basketball completely changed my life ever since I first stepped onto the floor in a competitive environment in Grade 7. My aspirations have always been to continue my basketball journey at the collegiate level.
Standing at 6'8, I have a distinct advantage not only with my height, but also with my soft shooting touch. I am relentless on defense and always try to have a positive impact on the team, whether that be in the locker room before a game, or on the court. I believe that hard work and team chemistry are the 2 main ingredients to success.
What makes me different from other basketball players is my pride in my academics off the court. I have maintained a very high average through my high-school journey so far, 96%, in both Grade 9 and Grade 10. I also have participated in math contests and championed in one: Waterloo's Fryer contest in 2021. I have 8 years of experience in piano having completed 8 levels of the Royal Conservatory of Music and placed within the top 20 teams in Canada for the Future Business Leaders of America's International Business sub-category.
My goal is to attend a college where I can push myself to be a better academic and basketball player. I am open to many options but ultimately want to compete at the highest level of competition possible
