Talan Pickering '24 Recruiting Profile

Even though I have been a three-sport athlete throughout high school, basketball has been my passion since I could walk.  I would love to continue to grow as a person and athlete at the next level.  I have dedicated countless hours continuing to develop my skills outside of the regular season by playing in spring and summer MAYB tournaments and attending camps such as Point Guard University and Heart of America Basketball Camp.  

I have always been a coachable and unselfish player where the betterment of the team is my ultimate goal.  I celebrate the successes of my teammates more than my own.  Furthermore, as the starting point guard since my freshman year, I have had the opportunity to lead my team for three years with my strong ball handling skills, high basketball IQ, and effective defense. With each season I was able to strengthen my leadership skills, and I was selected as a team captain my junior year.
