Jacob McIver '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob McIver, and I am a junior in high school in Council Grove, Kansas. My dream is to go D1 basketball, but I know I am not at that level yet. For now, I would like to attend a smaller college to work on my game and then go up to a D1 school. The reason I want to play basketball is because I love the sport, but I also want to set a standard for my kids in the future.  I was adopted from Haiti when I was three years old, and I have been living as a McIver ever since. I want my kids to know that it does not matter where you come from, you can do anything you put your mind to. Basketball is my passion and my dream in life; I want to help others know that you have to think bigger than yourself.
