Dereck Gillett '19 Recruiting Profile

    I have played basketball since I was 5 years old, and I have been in love with it ever since. Since I was able to I have played any sport available.  I really just enjoy competition and being on a team. I enjoy facing obstacles as a team and overcoming them. I love the idea of a team being a part of your family. That is how I felt with my team this year. We went 17-4 last year (my junior year) and I cannot be more proud of what we accomplished. We set multiple records as a team. We set the most total assist in a game (27) and the highest point average per game. 

    Academically I have always enjoyed science classes. I am planning on majoring in Sports Medicine then getting my masters in Athletic training or physical therapy. I am looking for schools with a good Sports Medicine program that will prepare me for the future.
