John Stokes '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is John Stokes and I am currently a senior at Grace Christian Academy of Maryland. My natural position is point guard, but in my senior season at a new school and having to adapt to a new program, I played every single position on the floor. I was a starting forward and earned 2nd team all-conference honors. I averaged 12 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and led my team in steals with 2 per game. I think the strongest part of my game is my versatility and my ability to do everything on the floor. My IQ and ability to make others around me better is definitely what sets me apart from other players.

Off the court, I have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 and am enrolled in AP/Honors courses. I am a four-year Student Government Association member. I am also a dedicated Christian who trusts in the Lord every step of the way. I have aspirations to play basketball at the collegiate level and major in Business/Sport Management. I am looking for a college that will challenge me both academically and athletically as well one that makes me feel at home on and off the court. 

My main goals are to reach my maximum potential in all aspects of life, do everything in the Lord's will, and make my parents proud.
