2016 Highlights #2
2016 HighlightsMy journey first began in 4th grade. I got demoted to a lower grade team which motivated me to work harder and harder. I always told people my dream of playing professionally and I am overcoming obstacles and becoming better every day, I also have a goal of playing at a high collegiate level.
I learned a lot about myself and the game of basketball through the years and I still have a lot more to learn. I realized that it will be a very long and tough journey, I learned not to rush anything and bad games and practices come, but my my mentality still has to be positive as it's a huge part of my game and how I play. I acknowledged that I will have to stop hanging out with my friends and I put God first over everything and then of course after my family I put my education and basketball under that. I also learned I need to step out of my comfort zone if I want to be successful and I'm willing to do that.
I feel as though I gained many characteristics that really separate me from others. I always want to stay in the gym as much as possible and work on my weaknesses. I always look for help from others, like teammates and coaches to mentor me and help me everyday on my game.
