Sam Leppien '22 Recruiting Profile

I love the game of basketball. I grew really fast as a kid so, of course, I was placed down low at the post for youth and middle school basketball. But, I learned how to play hard and love playing down there. My favorite aspect of the game, and the best aspect of my game, is defense. I enjoy being able to box people out and rebound over them, and the feeling of blocking someone's shot or even changing someone's shot. My offensive game is continuing to improve and I now feel more comfortable shooting across the court and finishing/dunking in traffic. I am a leader on the court and always one of the team captains. I'm a very social person and love hanging out with my teammates whenever I can off the court. Other than basketball, I am involved in my schools band, playing percussion. I also play piano and guitar in my free time. In the fall I play tennis to keep up with my footwork and I love that game as well. I love hanging out with family, and going skiing in the winter and boating in the summer. I am a very coachable person, and would love to be able to play at the highest level possible. Thank you.
