Hello Coaches,
I have high level goals in the classroom and the basketball court. I work daily on both to be the best that I can be. I am an extremely hard worker on the basketball court — I'm a grinder ... I love the grind.
I have basketball, weight and speed training 5 days a week...every week. I train at I'm Possible Training in Grand Rapids, Michigan (www.micahlancaster.com) which is a world renown basketball training facility. My trainer(s) is responsible for training NBA athletes Kyrie Irving, Victor Olidipo, Karl Anthony Towns among others and college athletes like Isiah Livers, and rising college freshman and University of Michigan pledge Kobe Bufkin. I'm becoming quicker, faster and stronger every time I train with this group. I am a team-first player. I'm skilled, fundamentally sound and unselfish on the basketball court. I would consider myself to be a great teammate, leader and high character individual.
My strengths are ball handling , shooting and I have terrific court vision. I play solid defense and I rarely turn the ball over. Ball security is a priority. In my freshman year, as the starting point guard over a 20 game season, I had a total of 8 turnovers. We play in a competitive Division 2A conference. On my AAU team I play more shooting guard and less point guard but my role is to spread the court, make three’s and be aggressive and hunt for an open shot.
I have a fantastic support system around me; parents, siblings, trainers and coaches who all strongly believe that I will succeed as a college basketball athlete and be a positive asset to the right university.
I look forward to meeting you and continuing my journey to play college basketball.
Jake
