Personal Statement

I would like to attend a top academic University.  I have decided to pursue engineering and business.  I have a 3.8 at Troy High school,  always a top ten high school in the state of Michigan.  I am a TEAM player.  I work very hard.  I am very lengthy and force opponents to take bad shots.  I play great defense, lead in blocked shots, adding more assists to my game, have a good shot (over 50% FG last 3 seasons) and I am a dominant rebounder.

As a Varsity starter as a sophomore, best shooting % and led the team in rebounds. As a Varsity starter, as a Junior,  best shooting percentage at 55%, averaged 11 points per game and led the team with 11 rebounds per game. Also had 12 double-doubles during the season.  I was named All Conference Team.  We won our OAA League, District, and Region, made it to the Elite 8 in the state of Michigan.  Our 21-5 was the best ever overall record for Troy High.  As a Varsity starter as a Senior our team has moved up into the highest Division and in the toughest league in the State of Michigan.  Current avg. 13 PPG and lead with 10 rebounds a game and playing much more outside the paint.

I am very passionate about grades and sports.  I am very athletic being 6' 7" with a 7' 1" wingspan and very large hands and working hard to be stronger (now 215 lbs), faster and quicker.  I also played on TEAM Basketball AAU team and we had another very good season last year with a 36-9 record, winning 5 major tournaments, playing in very competitive tournaments throughout the Midwest, led the team in rebounds.  I have always played multiple sports until my senior year where I have focused on improving my basketball skills.   As a Junior in Football I was second on our varsity team in receptions and receiving yards and obtained an Honorable Mention All League.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
