Personal Statement

I am a 6'3" combo guard at Eden Valley-Watkins High School in Minnesota, and a member of the Minnesota Comets AAU Basketball club. I strive to make a positive impact in both the classroom as well as on the court. I enjoy working on my game to improve myself as an individual so that I can help my teams succeed.

Athletically this year I was invited to be a feature player for the second year in a row for the Minnesota Breakdown Annual High School Basketball publication, named as a Top 40 Junior by Breakdown Basketball in the State of Minnesota, named all tournament team for the third year in a row at the St. John's Holiday Tournament, scored my 1,000th Varsity career point on December 19, 2013, and serve as the Captain for my high school team. I was honored also to be named as a two time First Team All Conference player, two time 6AA All Section Team, and two time All Area Team Honorable Mention by the St. Cloud Times.

Academically I have made the honor roll every year in High School while taking advanced placement and honor classes. I feel it is important to actively participate in the classroom, and to establish positive student teacher relationships.

In the community I assist at various youth camps, clinics and help officiate youth basketball games as a way to give back what others have given to me.

My goal after high school is to pursue a quality education that will help me succeed in my chosen career and to play basketball for a program that will welcome my skills, work ethic and where I can contribute to the team.

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile and for showing interest in me as a player, as well as a student-athlete.
