Nate Nelson '14 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nate Nelson from Minnesota and I attend Hinckley Finlayson High school. My dream when I was little was to  play basketball for the rest of my life and now I'm determined to reach that goal of mine. It takes a lot of hard work to get there and people laugh at me for saying I want to play D1 basketball or saying I want to be a pro one day, but to me it's worth it because people say you'll be amazed on how far basketball will take you in life. Another goal of mine was to be known as a top prospect in Mn and I accomplished that from Breakdown magazine. I'm a kid that is very driven to what I want to achieve in my life. I'm willing to do anything to achieve greatness anything it takes I'll do it. You can call me a gym rat because I'm in the gym everyday in the morning for 5 hours making my weaknesses my strengths. This is my senior year and I want to make something happen for my players and the school. I'll be the third guy since 2006 to play college basketball. I am consistently getting better each and everyday and all this hard work that I put in is going to pay off one day. I'm a very physical point guard and I go to the rim with any contact. I take good shots when I need to score and I work really hard on the defensive side. I try and make all the little things stand out before people say that I'm a good player.I hustle for every loose ball that I can get to and I take game seriously like it's my last.
