Alek Hodny '24 Recruiting Profile

I am passionate about my faith, my team mates, exercising, playing basketball and also playing baseball.  Each of these things have helped me become a better person and team member and are helping me to achieve each of my future goals.  I want to continue my growth in education, faith, and sports after I graduate from high school to further challenge myself to overcome greater challenges.  I aspire to play at a high level of basketball and/or baseball after I graduate high school.  Current accolades for basketball have been a nomination to the all area basketball team for my Junior year(2022-2023) and was the 2nd highest scorer and rebounder on our Varsity team.  For baseball in 2022 I was nominated all area team and alternate all conference with a .414 BA, 2 HR, 2 3b, 5 2b, 23 RBI, 23 R, with 24 H.  For baseball  in 2023 I was nominated all area team and was .448 BA, .709 SLG, 2 HR, 9 2b, 10 SB(100%)

I reflect weekly on my experiences and how I can become a better person and how I can understand both my strengths and my weaknesses.  In regards to my weaknesses I ask other players and my coaching staff what they see that I can do better and I work to develop a plan to further improve in each of those areas.  I believe it is very important to acknowledge ones strengths and weaknesses together to progress in ones development.
