Marcus Anderson '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Marcus Anderson and I’m a 6'3" guard from Brooklyn, MN. I have started on the Delasalle High School Junior Varsity team for 2 years and played an impactful role on Varsity this 2023/2024 season. I have a 3.7 GPA and plan to take my SAT in the fall of 2024.

I am a hardworking, competitive basketball player with a high basketball IQ. Knowing that I'm capable of playing basketball in college and being my dream goal makes me more passionate and tenacious at everything I do. My reputation is that I am extremely coachable, have a high motor, and willing to do the intangibles to win games. I love the process of strength training and practicing individually and team. I believe in practicing hard, so the games are easy. My coaches and parents taught me to never give up, keep my head held high and that there are no failures, but only opportunities to succeed again and again. I am the first in the gym and the last to leave.

I am looking for a school where I can further my intellectual curiosity and play against the best in the country regardless of division. I would like to pursue a university with an outstanding academic reputation in the field of business entrepreneurship or political science. Financial assistance is important to me achieving my goal. I am willing to travel farther to a school with less out of pocket expense. Ideally, my athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team but I have an old school mentality and believe in staying committed to one school and earning my rewards. My best fit is at a DII, DIII or NAIA, where within the first or second year I can make in positive impact to team on court chemistry and ability to complete.
