Personal Statement

I’m a 6-3 combo guard from Minnetonka High School (suburb of Minneapolis), MN. For my 2019-2020 senior season I was All-Conference in the competitive Lake as well as a captain for my team. I have a GPA of 3.3 / 26 ACT in a top rated high school school with a focus on business, and will graduate in 2020.

I’m looking to play basketball at a college that is the right fit in terms of both athletic and academic challenge.

My goal is to contribute as much as possible to my team in working with my coach and teammates. My coach tells me I have the ability to learn, adapt, lead and demonstrate work ethic. I look forward to bringing those and additional skills forward into college and the future.

O'Connor was one of the better prospects at the camp and turned heads quite frequently amongst the coaches and the scouts that were in attendance with his level of play. Many even argued that he may have had the best weekend. The versatility, shooting ability, and ability to create his own shot is what made the Minnesota native stand out the most. At 6'4," O'Connor showed that he was comfortable with the ball in his hands, could create for his teammates, could knock down shots in multiple ways, and could be a factor inside. The size he had for his position and his footwork made some of this possible. His skill set, feel for the game, and basketball IQ will give him and easier rode to transitioning to the next level, but he will need to adjust to the speed and physicality of the game. If he can become dangerous moving without the ball like he is with the ball, O'Connor for sure has a bright future. His is one to keep an eye on in the Midwest. Carries a 3.4 GPA.
