Personal Statement
I've always prided myself on being a role model to other students and my work ethic on the floor to improve my game. Throughout my life I've had many people influence me such as my last trainer Steven Green and my parents. They have thought me to be a self-less leader and work hard for my goals. Having foster kids in my family throughout my life has made a big impact on me because I want to be a good role model for them. I've also expanded my leadership role the last few years and become more involved in community service projects in my town. I'm motivated by helping and leading others both on and off the floor.
As I enter college, I am looking for a larger university/college that has a good basketball program but also a good academic program. In the future I would like to be a coach and a teacher so I want to make sure they have those programs available. Through basketball I have learned that I shouldn’t let other people get into my head and I need to stay positive. Being smaller I have sometimes had to put in twice as much work as everyone else and that has been an obstacle that I have had to work with to get where I am today.
