Andrew Kim - PG a...I’m a 6’3” , 170 lb Point Guard looking for a high academic institution where I can further my education but be able to play basketball at the higher level. I scored a 33 on my ACT and am a HIGH HONORS student with a ~3.75 (unweighted) in my course work with multiple AP courses taken.
I am a rising Senior at The Pembroke Hill School in Kansas City, Missouri and play for Coach Jeff Hawkins as a starting Guard on the varsity level. As a Captain my Junior year, I led our team to the 4A Missouri State Championships and placed 4th. I played for UA Rise Marcus Denmon 15U/16U/17U Elite team the last three spring and summers.
I have a high basketball IQ and a great vision for the floor. I am a true PG with a consistent 3 point shot. I run the floor in both directions - I am tenacious and a relentless defender. Everyone wants me on their team as I am a selfless facilitator and enjoy the meaning of team play.
Off the court, alongside my high academics, in the fall, I am the Captain for our Boys Swim Team and have qualified for State every year, placing in the top 10 in the state of Missouri. In the spring, I play Varsity Lacrosse and use both of these sports for conditioning and staying in shape for basketball.
I’m a leader in every aspect of my life. In sports, in the classroom and in the community. I serve on several non for profit boards and have achieved the Presidential Gold Service Award for the last 4 years, as serving those less fortunate has always been a passion of mine.
