Hi! My name is Easton Starnes. I have been running since I was 13. It took me a little while to figure out that running was my true passion, but once I started, I fell in love with the sport. Ever since then, I have dreamed of competing at the collegiate level. I know it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that could change my whole life.
I have a strong running mindset and race awareness. I can compete in multiple events on the track as well as cross-country, and I understand how to pace myself, strategize, and push through challenges. I strive to be a team leader and encourage my teammates to give their best effort every day. I work hard year-round, getting into any camps, private training sessions, group practices, and competitive meets. I train hard in every season, not just during school competitions.
I also do light strength training and conditioning to improve my endurance and speed. I work hard to keep my grades up and maintain my GPA. I also volunteer my time during youth camps and our local running events for younger kids. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and being active in my church youth group.
I want to pursue a career in Sports Medicine, where I can help others and still stay connected to athletics, especially running. I am looking for the right college where I can continue competing while furthering my education. I am so excited for the future and all the opportunities ahead.
