Personal Statement
I aspire to be a college athlete at a Division I or II college, and I believe I would be a great asset to any team that gave me the opportunity to do so in football or basketball. I have played exceptionally well in both sports. In Football I am 5th in the State in passing yards and in the top 10 for total yards as a starting QB for Browning. I am also in the top 10 for kickers for the state in Kickoffs. Many coaches recognize me for the strength and accuracy of my throws. What makes me stand out from other athletes in basketball is my ball handling skills and ability to see the court and get the ball to where it needs to go with precision, as a 6'3" guard. My freshman and sophomore years I was also a quarterback for the Browning Indians football team, leading my junior varsity team to victory with my passing skills. Once again, this illustrates my ability to see the field, and to put the ball into the right hands. In the off season I have played in many three on three and five on five tournaments, and my teams have nearly always won championships. In those events, I continue to play with my teammates from the Delasalle team I started out with. They trust my leadership skills and I trust they know what to do once I get them the ball. In my off season, I lift weights daily, even throughout the summer, to build muscle and discipline and compete throughout the year with AAU or club teams. Most importantly, I am a student athlete; a National Honor Society student who has the ultimate goal of completing a graduate degree in Sports Medicine. I have always reached high for my goals and I work hard to get there.
