J'von Niemeyer '17 Recruiting Profile

I developed a relationship with the game of basketball at the age of five. As far back as I can remember there has been a hoop on my bedroom door and in my driveway. When I was younger, I had the pleasure of receiving an invitation to play on an AAU team which fulfilled my strong desire to continue playing this great game in the off season. Unfortunately, our program ended after 8th grade but lucky for me, I have had great parents who made it possible for me to participate in summers filled with tournaments and camps to keep me going.  My goals are to continue fulfilling my passion through collegiate competition. The most rewarding part of the game is the ability to be part of a team and work towards that goal of a championship and self growth. In addition, I have enjoyed the growth I have experienced as an athlete and a person. I am a hard worker, always trying to improve himself. I am a stronger leader with an in depth understanding of the game. I am a team player and realizes that our team is only as strong as we push to make it be as a whole. Finally, I am passionate and driven to become my absolute best. I am looking for a college that will help me to continue to grow as an athlete and a person while offering me a degree that is important to me.
