I have been playing basketball since I was 10 years old and have always dreamed of possibly playing at the college level one day. I play both guard positions and handle the ball well. My strengths include getting my other teammates involved by thinking pass first and having good court vision. I also am a good shooter from both mid range and beyond the arc. My High school coach believes that my greatest strength is on ball defense. I am calm and disciplined on court and am very coachable.
My freshman year of high school I went to Centennial HS in Las Vegas. I played on the Freshman team and was primarily used as a shooter. While I succeeded in basketball if I am honest I did not do as well in the classroom. Several of my classes had class sizes of over 40 people. My sophomore year my parents moved me to Somerset SkyPointe HS. It is a much smaller school with and emphasis on preparation for higher education. Because of this move, while I made the Varsity basketball team and was slated to be a starter, I had to play JV because of the Nevada transfer rules. This actually worked out well for me as my grades have greatly improved.
Off the court I am very involved in making my community better by participating in activities through my church. I attend Common Ground Church in Las Vegas and we do events with the local area businesses and schools to better our community. I love serving in these community service projects.
I want to attend a college where I can play basketball and get a good education and make a difference in the community surrounding the campus.
